Days 41 - 46 Resting it up in Whitehorse

So Glenn's knee needed a little time to heal and our bikes needed some work, so we have spent the last week in Whitehorse.  It is really a very cool town with some interesting folks and stuff going on, not to mention and amazing network or trails surrounding the town.

Glenn has spent a lot of time at the Canada Games Centre, where for just $7.10 you can use thier pool, steam room, sauna and whirl pool all day... It has definitely done wonders for his knee! I have done some awesome mountain biking ...and earned a few bruises and sore muscles of my own, and I've also done some great hiking and walking.

We have stayed with a couple of of warm showers hosts, first with Jesse, Ange and Marie who welcomed us into their lovely home, let us use their and other facilities and offered Glenn some great healing herbs.  Then with  Philippe, a pretty awesome guy who is a bicycle repair guru and is a generous and entertaining soul! He has put up with us camping out in his backyard for the last five days, and let me borrow his mountain bike, his dog Lola as a hiking companion and generally opened his home to us! WE can't thank him enough....check out the pictures of his yard below....

Today ...June 7 we have gotten our bikes back from the repair shop and Glenn's knee is doing a lot better...so we plan to hit the road again tomorrow... We have both been pretty anxious to get going so fingers crossed that the knee will hold up and we will make it to the next grocery store... which is over 600 km away.... In Dease Lake, BC.
